Lead the Creation of a New Theological School

Lutheran Theological Seminary Saskatoon (LTS) and St. Andrew’s College (SAC) invite applications for the position of Transitional President.  This is a rare executive leadership opportunity to guide two respected theological schools through a significant period of transition as they establish a new institution that builds on their shared commitment to theological education, scholarship, and service.

Reporting to the Transition Team, which has been jointly mandated by the Boards of both institutions, the Transitional President will provide strategic, operational, and administrative leadership throughout an expected 30-month transition period.  The successful candidate will help establish the organizational, cultural, academic, and financial foundations of the new school while ensuring continuity of programs, relationships, and operations.

The Transitional President will:

  • Lead the implementation of the transition strategy and oversee the creation of the new institution.
  • Foster a shared organizational culture that embodies the mission and values of the new school and builds on the educational traditions of LTS and SAC.
  • Provide executive leadership for academic, administrative, financial, and operational functions throughout the transition.
  • Work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, church partners, donors, and other stakeholders to strengthen trust, engagement, and confidence.
  • Support the development of an effective governance model and prepare the organization for its inaugural Board and permanent President.
  • Lead the appropriate accreditation process for the new institution, while positioning it for long-term sustainability and academic excellence.
